Water Services is pleased to inform residents that the water system is gradually improving following an increase in pumping supply by Rand Water. However, the system has not yet fully stabilised, although a fair distribution of water is currently being maintained across most parts of the city.
While some high-lying areas, such as Kagiso, now have water, they may still be experiencing low pressure.
Residents are urged to continue using water sparingly to support the full recovery of the system.
Water Services will continue to closely monitor the situation and deploy water tankers, where necessary, in coordination with relevant councillors.
