As the municipality continues to address outstanding municipal debt, it recognises that some households and businesses may be experiencing financial challenges, while others may find it difficult to visit municipal offices during working hours.

To make municipal services more accessible, Revenue Services will embark on a city-wide customer outreach programme, bringing services directly to communities. The first outreach will take place in Azaadville.

The outreach programme will provide customers with an opportunity to engage directly with Revenue Services officials, obtain account-related assistance, and make payment arrangements for overdue municipal accounts.

Special consideration will be given to customers who are unable to meet the required 50% deposit for payment arrangements, with each case assessed on its own merits.

Mogale City therefore invites residents, ratepayers and businesses in Azaadville to attend the open day as follows:

Date: 21 and 22 September 2026
Time:
10h00 – 15h00
Venue: Azaadville Community Hall

Customers wishing to apply for a payment arrangement should bring the following documents:

  • Original ID document
  • Latest payslip or proof of income
  • Three months’ bank statements
  • A written motivation explaining why they are unable to pay the required 50% deposit

Residents are encouraged to make use of this opportunity to engage with the municipality and regularise their accounts.

Details of future outreach visits to other areas will be communicated through the municipal website and official social media platforms.
