Residents are advised that Rand Water’s essential maintenance work originally scheduled from 30 June 2025 until 21 July 2025 has now been reduced to just 48 hours. This update was shared during a stakeholder meeting held this morning, following the postponement of planned work on the Vereeniging system.
Maintenance at the Eikenhof system will continue as planned, starting at 05:00 on Monday, 30 June 2025 and concluding at 05:00 on Wednesday, 2 July 2025. During this period, Rand Water will reduce pumping capacity to 50% and resume full capacity once work is complete.
Our Water Services team will be on standby for any unexpected disruptions. A total of 23 water tankers have been secured and will be deployed as needed.
Residents are encouraged to contact their ward councillors in the case of water supply disruptions that may require the deployment of municipal water tankers. Councillors will escalate these requests to the Water Services team, who will then coordinate the deployment of tankers to the affected areas as needed.
