The Municipality’s Credit Control Division has appointed Cigicell and Ntiyiso to provide debt collection support services, including the delivery of final demands, inspections, follow-ups, as well as service disconnections and reconnections.
The individuals shown below are authorised representatives of these companies and may perform these functions on behalf of the Municipality.
To protect yourself against fraud:
- Verify the identity of any field agent before granting them access to your property.
- All authorised representatives must carry valid identification.
- No fees are payable for these services.
- No representative is authorised to solicit or accept payment from residents.
- Residents are not permitted to pay their municipal accounts directly to any of these representatives.
- All payments must be made only through the Municipality’s official payment channels, including EFT, the Municipality’s cashiers at the Mogale Civic Centre, satellite offices, and other approved payment platforms available through your banking app.
If anyone requests money while claiming to represent the Municipality, refuse to make any payment and report the incident to our Customer Care Centre immediately by calling 083 787 2814.
