Energy Services wishes to inform residents that applications for the conversion from postpaid to smart prepaid electricity meters officially close today, 31 October 2025 at 16h00, marking the conclusion of the Smart Electricity Meter Project.
The municipality has received a large volume of applications, which are currently being reviewed. Applicants whose submissions have been approved but whose meters are yet to be converted are advised that site inspections and installations will continue until Sunday, 2 November 2025.
We extend our sincere appreciation to all residents who responded to the call and took the time to apply for the conversion.
