Community Development Services invites qualifying NGOs, CBOs, and ECDCs to apply for Grant-in-Aid financial assistance.

This programme aims to strengthen and support organisations that share the municipality’s mission of improving the quality of life for local communities, while also contributing to the goals and objectives outlined in the Integrated Development Plan (IDP). The initiative is guided by the recently approved Grant-in-Aid Policy.

ELIGIBLE SECTORS

Applications are invited from organisations operating in (but not limited to) the following sectors:

  1. Special focus groups – women, children, youth, persons with disabilities, and the aged
  2. HIV/AIDS programmes
  3. Poverty alleviation initiatives
  4. Job creation / SMME development
  5. Tourism development
  6. Arts, culture, and heritage
  7. Environmental sustainability
  8. Crime prevention and victim empowerment
  9. Training, education, and skills development
  10. Sports development

Application forms can be collected on weekdays (07h30 – 16h00) at the following offices:

Completed applications must be submitted to the Social Development Department. Applicants must ensure that all sections of the form are completed before submission.

CLOSING DATE: 31 October 2025
Late applications will not be considered.

Please note: Completion and submission of an application form does not guarantee funding approval. All applications will be assessed by the designated Grant-in-Aid Committee.
