The University of South Africa (UNISA) will resume training sessions for Mogale City-based students registered with the university. These sessions, previously disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, are a key component of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Mogale City Library Services and UNISA.
As part of this agreement, UNISA students residing in Mogale City have access to Krugersdorp and Kagiso Public Libraries, where they can utilise essential academic resources, computer facilities and the internet, study spaces, and a dedicated service for ordering and collecting UNISA study materials.
For the first time since the pandemic, UNISA will host in-person training sessions in Mogale City, focusing on ‘How to Find Books for Research Using the Online Library’.
Session dates and venues are as follows:
- Krugersdorp Library: 13 March 2025, from 10h00 to 12h00
- Kagiso Library: 14 March 2025, from 10h00 to 12h00
- Online Session (Microsoft Teams): 20 March 2025, from 10h00 to 12h00
These sessions will equip students with essential skills, including:
- Navigating the UNISA online library using basic search functions
- Borrowing, renewing, and returning library materials
- Accessing e-reserves and online journal articles for research, and
- Booking training sessions, as well as utilizing electronic library systems
We encourage all Mogale-based UNISA students to take advantage of this opportunity to enhance their research, academic skills and work.
