Mogale City’s Heritage, Arts and Culture Section is excited to announce the reopening of its historic courtroom after a temporary slumber due to renovations.

Nestled in a beautifully preserved building that dates to the late 19th century, the newly revamped courtroom offers an unparalleled backdrop for a variety of film-related activities. The iconic Krugersdorp courtroom was officially opened by President Paul Kruger in 1890 and was in use as a courtroom from 1891 to 1976, maintaining its historic charm and authenticity.

With its original architecture intact, the location provides a rich, cinematic atmosphere ideal for productions requiring a vintage courtroom or historical setting. From commercials and documentaries to music videos, still photography, film shoots and television productions, this unique venue is primed to bring historical narratives and visual storytelling to life.
