Mogale City’s Water Services is aware that a large part of the city has been experiencing low water pressure or have had no water supply since last night. Please note that this is due to a main water pipeline burst between Boltonia and Krugersdorp close to Krugersdorp Correctional Services which necessitated an immediate shutdown of water supply to prevent water wastage.
The following areas are affected:
- Boltonia
- Krugersdorp CBD, North and West
- Monument Extension 4
- Game Park
- Munsieville
- Quellerie Park
- Oatlands
- Wildtuin Park
An arrangement for alternative water supply through water tankers is being put in place and communication regarding their locations will soon follow.
We can report that tree cutting around the pipe started at 08h00am this morning to make way for repair work while the services of armed security personnel is urgently sourced for the safety of our artisans as the area is an illegal mining hotspot.
