Although no official communication with regards to the effects of extended load shedding experienced in turn affecting water pumping at Eikenhof Rand Water pumpstation which subsequently affected Rand Water’s Krugersdorp reservoirs, the municipality hereby urgently informs affected areas of this water supply interruption.
Water supply to Kenmare, Dan Pienaarville and Munsieville water storage reservoirs have and continue to drop at an alarming rate. The measured levels are currently as follows:
- Kenmare Flat Reservoir Level is at 5m
- Kemp Water Tower = 0m, no water
- Dan Pienaarville Reservoir = 4m, and
- Munsieville Reservoir = 0m, empty
Consequently, areas affected by the reservoir levels drop are Kenmare, Silverfields, Breaunanda, Lewisham, Noordheuwel, Dan Pienaarville, Munsieville, the CBD, Krugersdorp West and other closely located areas.
Mogale City is in constant communication with our bulk water supplier to establish when the problem should be resolved and will continue to update the community on progress.
