Mogale City Integrated Waste Management wishes to inform residents that Luipaardsvlei Landfill Site is experiencing a serious fire outbreak caused by strong winds since this morning.
Waste Management Services however, assures residents residing adjacent to the site that the outbreak has been receiving urgent attention. The site will therefore be temporarily closed while the Fire Department assists to contain and extinguish the fire.
The municipality will keep residents informed of any further developments as more information becomes available.
