Mark your calendar for Sunday, 20 August as Radio 702’s much-loved Walk the Talk is set to stride the shores of Mogale City’s Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site, Maropeng.

Our city is excited to extend an invitation to our residents, local sports fraternities, corporates and their staff as well as walkers of all ages, abilities and fitness levels to spend their Sunday morning walking for wellness in the Cradle.

This partnership between Radio 702, Gauteng Tourism and Mogale City tagging along will offer locals a unique opportunity to explore where it all started in Gauteng, the Cradle of Humankind, its Maropeng Visitor Centre which is the actual event venue and over 400 diverse tourism experiences for visitors from all walks of life to immerse themselves in.  From human origins, wildlife wonders, spending the night, culture and crafts, stunning landscapes and so much more – Gauteng’s only World Heritage Site undoubtedly offers a whole lot of living where life began.

Alternatively, you can walk at your own pace in the 5km and 8km distances, at an entry fee of R350. Unfortunately, no pets are allowed in this world heritage site habitat.
