Mogale City’s Water Services Division is aware that some parts of Mogale City are experiencing low water pressure or have no water supply at all. Please note that this is due to Rand Water’s recent 54-hour water shutdown in Gauteng which started on Monday,15 November 2021.
Rand Water started pumping water into reservoirs that supply Mogale City last night and it will take some time before water supply reaches the correct levels and optimal water pressure is also restored. Currently, most of our reservoirs that were affected are still at low levels but we anticipate that as water fills up, supply to affected areas will be slowly restored although it is difficult to give exact timeframes at this stage.
Consequently, our Licensing Service Centre also had to suspend its services today due to unavailability of water. However, people with pre-booked appointments for learners and driving license practical tests will continue to be serviced today.
Mogale City pleads with residents that still have water supply to please use water sparingly as Rand Water strives under a lot of pressure to get reservoirs up to required levels.
We apologise for the inconvenience cased and appeal to affected residents to please be patient as water supply is being restored.
