Mogale City’s Community Development Services Libraries Section can once again pride itself for service delivery as two of its communities get access to new, well-equipped and fully functional libraries.
The two modular libraries were officially opened by the Executive Mayor yesterday on 21 February 2019 for the communities of Smokedown and Mayibuye, with an aim of providing children and members of these communities with a safe and well equipped environment that will assist with their studies and educational support needs.
The two libraries boast, a children’s reading section, internet access, a selection of books as well as a separate study section for the older students. These two new libraries brings the total number of the city’s libraries to 15. Another library is expected to be handed over to the community of Kagiso Extension 6 soon.
