The African National Congress in Mogale City Local Municipality appointed a new Proportional Representative (PR) Councilor at the 19th Special Council Meeting held at Centenary Hall.
Councillor Nomalizo Kufa, who was sworn in by Acting Chief Magistrate Abdul Kadir Khan, replaces the late Swanieville-based PR Councillor Pumla Zagagana who passed away in November last year.
Speaker of Council Noluthando Mangole congratulated Councillor Kufa on her appointment. “We would like to congratulate Councillor Kufa on her appointment. She really deserves the position because she is a very active member of the community”.
Councillor Kufa is not new in local government. She was elected councillor during the 2011 local government elections and later served as a member of the mayoral committee responsible for Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation.
