On 18 August 2016, Councillor Lynn Pannall was sworn in as the new Executive Mayor of Mogale City Local Municipality during the city’s inaugural council meeting.
The new Speaker of Council is Councillor Patrick Lipudi and the Chief Whip of Council is Sipho Dube
Councillor Pannall took the baton from Councillor Koketso Calvin Seerane who served for two terms.
