Mogale City Local Municipality hereby wishes to inform residents and businesses operating in the Krugersdorp West and surrounding areas supplied with power by the Batavia Substation, that it’s aware of a power supply interruption in the area.
This is due to reported cable theft at the substation on Thursday morning, which has left the areas of Oatlands, Wildtuin Park, Heritage Manor and Agavia without power supply.
Although the municipality is unable to provide details on a restoration time, regular updates on work and the envisaged restoration time will be provided.
In the meantime, the affected users are urged to treat all electrical wiring as live and to switch off all appliances to avoid injury and damage once supply is restored.
The municipality apologises for any inconveniences caused during this unexpected outage.
