Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 78(1) of the Local Government: Municipal Property Rates Act, 2004 (Act No.6 of 2004), hereinafter refereed to as the “Act”, that the supplementary valuation roll for the financial year 1 July 2020 to 30 June 2021 is open for public inspection at Mogale City Local Municipality from 20 September 2021 to 15 November 2021. In addition, the supplementary valuation roll and the objection forms are available on the website.
An invitation is hereby made in terms of Section 49(a)(ii) read together with Section 78(2) of the Act that any owner of property or other person who so desires should lodge an objection with the Municipal Manager in respect of any other matter reflected in or omitted from the supplementary valuation roll within the abovementioned period.
Attention is specifically drawn to the fact that in terms of Section 50(2) of the Act, an objection must be in relation to a specific individual property and not against the supplementary valuation roll as such. The form for lodging an objection is obtainable from the following address:
