President Cyril Ramaphosa will deliver the State of the Nation Address on Thursday, 11 February 2021 at 19h00pm under the theme: “Following up on our commitments: Making your future work better”. This year’s SoNA will take the form of a hybrid joint sitting, with no more than 50 Members of Parliament, representatives from the Judiciary and the Executive in the physical chamber with the rest of the members connecting virtually.

SoNA 2021 is an opportune time for the President to give an update on progress that has been made since his last address in 2020 despite the massive challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic. Every South African is encouraged to get first-hand information about the state of the country by tuning into their favourite television or radio station to be part of this national milestone. The President’s address can also be live streamed via social media platforms, Parliamentary television and Parliament’s YouTube channels.
