Administrative offices will close on Friday, 22 December 2017 at 12:00 and re-open on Tuesday, 2 January 2018.
Rates halls and pay-points will continue to operate between 27 and 29 December 2017 from 07:45 – 15:45 and from 08:00 – 12:00 pm on Saturdays to assist ratepayers with inquiries and payments.
The municipality will make provision for the continued delivery of emergency and essential services such as public safety, refuse collection, water and electricity services during this period.

Purchase prepaid electricity on your cell phone
Step 1: Simply dial *120*5757# to start the registration process or SMS the word “register” with your meter number to 44380. Should you prefer to register online with either your PC or your cell phone, make sure you have your meter number with you, simply go to www.mobilepower.co.za and follow the instructions.
Step 2: Once you have completed the registration process, you will receive a unique PIN from MobilePower. By using the unique PIN sent to you from MobilePower, just send an SMS to 44380with the word “power”, followed by a space, your PIN code followed by a space, the amount you wish to purchase and send the SMS. (E.g. POWER 12345 100).
Step 3: The token will be SMSed back to your cell phone within seconds and you can insert the code into the meter.
